'Mei Ling' (Clone)
T-37 'Mei Ling' clone. Recorded as "Selection from Aurelian Hybrids". Carlton Yerex, 1949.
By today's standards, 'Mei Ling' is not much to look at, but when released by Edgar Cline in 1949, it was priced at a whopping $4.95 per bulb. Based on "average" wages of 1949 and those of today, the price now would be the equivalent of paying $65.+ today for this lily! Photo courtesy of the Bill & Mary Hoffman Collection.
