'Lilium bakerianum var. yunnanense'

Grown and flowered by Pontus Wallstén of Switzerland, this collection of seed produced white flower forms that are virtually spotless adding even more the the mysteries of color and form of this species. L. bakerianum is a species that requires a great deal of field study as it probably has more "variants" than any other species. One could probably spend a life time properly categorizing L. bakerianum in its native Yunnan. This June bloomer in nature is found at around 8,000 feet.
