'Lilium pumilum' Orange Variant
This lovely orange colored form of L. pumilum was found by Yijia Wang in the Shaxi Provence of China at approximately 5000 ft. (1500 meters) elevation. Unlike the type which is a rich scarlet in color, Yijia's discovery, found growing at about a 45' angle out of a steep hillside, is about half way between
L. pumilum type and L. pumilum var. Golden Gleam. More than likely a color that is endemic to this region of Shaxi Provence, it is unique enough to deserve its own listing.
