'Lilium leichtlinii var. Iwashimizu’

Grown from seed provided to the RHS by Mr. Arakawa of Japan, a well-known species lily grower who said this was their native form. Grown / flowered/ and photographed by Gene Mirro. Gene reports that "it has a fragile and delicate appearance compared to the sturdy form that is grown commercially as
L. leichtlinii".
