'Victorian Petticoat' - Orienpet Hybrid Lily Bulb
Flower Description: Bred by Don Egger in Oregon, ‘Victorian Petticoat’ and her sister selection ‘Victorian Ruffles’, were introduced at $50 each and both sold out that year. Slower to mature, we set them aside to work with faster propagating OT varieties, while offering only small amounts of bulbs through 2005. With time being the best—and the most crucial—test for true garden lily performance, ‘Victorian Ruffles’ slowly fell by the wayside, but ‘Victorian Petticoat’ just kept going year after year. This is another of those lilies that underwent a name change and is also now known as 'Smokey Mountain'.
This beauty has a contrasting ivory-white edge and an interesting yellow throat to set off the brick red blooms. The outfacing to to lightly pendant flowers are both perfectly spaced on the stem and fragrant. Normally 4 to 5 Feet, she can reach 6 feet or more. Late July / Early August Flowering.
