Flower Description: In cool weather or greenhouses the green stripe down each petal is quite dramatic, outdoors in full sun it will be a very light green or smaller. To say that 'Annika' is in a class buy herself would be an understatement. Fragrant. 3 Feet. Late July / Early August Flowering.
Main Photo was taken during a period of temperatures in the low to mid 60's, or a typical summer day in Late July in the PNW. Photo insert was taken during a period of low to upper 80's to show contrast in green color. Basically, the cooler it is, the more green and more pronounced the spots.
Note: During the spring / summer of 2011 which ended being both the coldest as well as the wettest on record for the Pacific Northwest, 'Annika' bloomed for us as nearly a solid green with only a pencil thin band of white on the petal edges.
