It was only a matter of time, and at long last we have a double flowered Easter x Asiatic to offer thanks to the breeding work of Vletter & Den Haan Lilies in Holland who have brought to the world so many of the famous Orienpets we offer today. Classified by breeders as an 'LA Hybrid' meaning Longiflorum (Easter Lily) x Asiatic, this family of lilies has pretty much taken over for the pure Asaitics of the past.
'Belevedere' offers flowers that are a bit smaller than what is usually found in the LA's, but these white to creamy centers are perfect to scatter throughout the garden. Though you need to stick your nosed to smell it, they do have a light fragrance but light enough that even the most sensitive noses should not find them overwhelming. Our spring bulbs are coming directly from the breeder and though we have no first hand experience in the field, with the reputation of Vletter & Den Haan, we know this to be a winner. Reaching 3+ feet when settled, she is a June bloomer and as mentioned has a very light scent.
