'Caldera' - Asiatic Hybrid Lily
Flower Description: One of the most vivid red-orange flowers we have ever seen. ‘Caldera’ makes a real WOW statement in any garden looking for a bright and bold accent. Without fear of the danger of a catastrophic volcanic eruption, you can fully appreciate the intense, deep lava orange color of this lily in your garden. Flowering in June, stems reach 3 to 4 Feet. Unscented.
There is a very limited supply for Fall 2018, probably not more than 20 bulbs.
It has been really interesting watching the development of these lilies from what were known in the mid 70’s and into 80’s as “brushmarks”. A central focal point in many breeding programs, the "brushmarks" all but disappeared in the 90’s as the cut flower trade wanted spotless lilies.
